Here in this photograph, a large zinc container (1 metre in diameter) is barely managing to stay afloat. The circular outline of its rim is hinted at, and we can only guess at the walls forming the container. Here, once again, the idea of the inside (being) and the outside (non-being) is explored. The difference is actually minimal because everything we perceive – and ourselves, at a deep level – are made of the same ingredients.
