Buit limit 2 is a spatial installation comprising a large transparent inflatable oval measuring 10 x 3.5 metres. To shape the large oval, rather than inflating the balloon, I use a turbine that extracts the air between the room and the membrane, creating a vacuum in the room. The oval is connected at its ends to two circular openings, each 1 metre in diameter, situated on opposite walls of the chamber, so that, from either opening, one can perceive the space through the transparent membrane (boundary) or speak to other visitors standing at the opposite opening.
Here, unlike a normal inflatable, one can perceive the space from inside the oval. It is not the air pumped inside, but the absence of air outside.
