A pyramid that works as a camera
obscura pointing to the sky.

Wood, canvas. 5 x 5 x 2.30 meters

Melchnau, Switzerland.

This work consists of a pyramid with a base measuring 5 x 5 metres and a height of 2.30 metres, which functions as a camera obscura facing the sky: the image visible in the sky at that moment is projected onto the entire surface of the pyramid’s base. (Clouds, the colour of the sky, the sun’s path…) The pyramid is the architectural element that best symbolically connects the earth with the sky.
The tunnel serving as the entrance to the interior of the pyramid creates the necessary transition to access the interior, allowing the viewer to disconnect from the outside world in which they had been moving until that moment.
As in some of my other works, *Sky Echoes* serves as a metaphor for the perceiving being: we are an empty space that receives the echoes of the outside world.
